What types of failures are covered by AT&T HomeTech Protection?

Eligible in-home products are covered for mechanical or electrical failure caused by:

Defects in materials and/or workmanship
Power surge
Dust, heat or humidity
Normal wear and tear
Unintentional and accidental damage from handling as a result of normal use (“ADH”) for laptops, Wi-Fi–only tablets, portable DVD/Blu-ray players, portable gaming devices, WiFi-only wearables, audio headsets, virtual reality headsets, and printer display screens only.

What kind of installations do you offer?

For TV installations, do I need to provide my own mounting bracket?

Which devices are covered under accidental damage from handling (ADH)?

Are there device-specific details I need to know before booking my smart home installation?

We can’t install devices that are not fully functional or don't have all of the manufacturer-supplied parts and accessories. However, as a HomeTech Protection customer, you have 24/7 access to tech support from our team of experts. You can chat with them online or call in for the tech support you need.

TV installations

You’ll have to provide the mounting bracket. The Asurion Expert will organize and conceal the cables with cable covers.

Smart door lock installations

We can’t modify the door, frame, jamb, or other building components.

All installations

You’ll have to provide the device model number when scheduling the appointment.
We can’t modify 110-volt or greater electrical systems.
