Check if Alexa+ is available
Alexa+ is still rolling out, so availability may vary by account and device. There are 3 ways to check:
- Open the Alexa app and sign in
- Go to Alexa.com and sign in
- Try saying, “Alexa, upgrade to Alexa+”
If it’s available, you’ll see an option to try or enable it.
Update the Alexa app and your device
Before getting started, make sure your app and device are up to date:
- Update the Alexa app from the App Store or Google Play
- Keep your Echo device connected to Wi-Fi so it can update automatically
- Restart your Echo device if needed
Turn on Alexa+ and start using it
If Alexa+ is available on your account, follow the prompts in the Alexa app or on Alexa.com to enable it.
On some devices, you can also start setup by asking Alexa directly. Once enabled, Alexa+ works across supported devices linked to your Amazon account.
Customize your Alexa+ experience
After setup, you can personalize how Alexa works for you. Depending on your device, you may be able to:

Test Alexa+ and fix common issues
