NASHVILLE, Tenn., November 14, 2023 - Asurion announced today that Tim Stadthaus has succeeded Tony Detter as CEO. Detter will serve as Chairman, working closely with Asurion Executive Chairman and Founder Kevin Taweel and Chairman Bret Comolli.
The change comes as the company expands its growth strategy with an increasing portfolio of products and services and a diversified client base.
“Tim has an outstanding track record of driving growth and innovation at Asurion and is the right person to continue building on our success,” said Asurion Executive Chairman and Founder Kevin Taweel. “He has a deep knowledge of our business and understands what is needed to drive our growth and deliver for our clients.” Stadthaus most recently served as the company’s President of Growth.
Detter will continue serving on Asurion’s Board of Directors as Chairman and engaging with key clients. “We are having a strong year and poised for further growth, thanks to Tony’s leadership,” said Taweel. “He has been instrumental in building our business and we will continue to benefit from his expertise and experience.” Detter has been with the company for over twenty years, serving as CEO for the past six years.
Stadthaus joined Asurion in 2008. In his 15 years at Asurion, he has had numerous executive roles including President of Growth, Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience. Stadthaus will be based out of Asurion’s Nashville headquarters.
