Why you might consider keeping AMBER alerts

Before you disable AMBER alerts on your phone, consider a few  important reasons to keep these public safety alerts turned on:

  • AMBER alerts are issued when a child has been abducted and is in imminent danger. If you see the notice, you could play a crucial role in helping law enforcement recover a missing child by providing information like vehicle descriptions and last known locations.
  • Turning off AMBER alerts may also prevent you from seeing other timely warnings about severe threats like storms, accidents, or other emergencies.
