The steps may vary by device model, but here’s a general guide on how to disable AMBER alerts on Android: 

  1. Open Settings. 
  2. Scroll down and tap Apps & notifications. 
  3. Select Advanced or Advanced settings. 
  4. Tap Wireless emergency alerts or Emergency alerts.
  5. Uncheck AMBER alerts. 

On Samsung phones: 

  1. Open Settings > Safety and emergency > Wireless emergency alerts.
  2. Turn off (slide switch to the left) AMBER alerts.

How to turn off AMBER alerts on your iPhone

Follow these simple steps to turn off AMBER alerts on your iPhone: 

For iOS 16 and later:

  1. Open Settings > Notifications. 
  2. Scroll down to GOVERNMENT ALERTS.
  3. Turn off (slide switch to the left) AMBER Alerts.
