The belief that good ideas come from any employee. A culture of inclusion that embraces workplace community and bold dialogue. Strong work/life balance. These are just a few of the things that helped global tech care company Asurion earn a spot on the list of Best Workplaces for Millennials from Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work®.
“We are in the business of helping people stay connected, and that starts with our employees. This award honors the culture our team has created and lives every day,” said Asurion CEO Tony Detter. “We believe that no matter what level you’re at in your career, the background you come from, or the department you work in, every employee has the power to help Asurion provide ‘wow’ moments with every interaction.”
Ninety-one percent of Asurion’s millennial-dominated workforce say it’s a great place to work. Asurion’s people and its culture are overwhelming reasons why. Top-rated areas include our welcoming environment for new hires, being a place where employees feel proud to work, and being trusted with a lot of responsibility. A summary of these ratings can be found at http://reviews.greatplacetowork.com/asurion.
To determine the Best Workplaces for Millennials list, Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work® to dive into employees’ own experiences of working at organizations across the country. They analyzed confidential survey feedback of 4.9 million employees, evaluating 60 elements of millennials’ experiences in the workplace, including trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization, no matter who they are or what they do. Survey feedback was analyzed relative to each organization’s size, workforce make up, and what’s typical relative to their peers in the industry.
“For many years, organizations have put forth considerable effort towards attracting and retaining millennial talent” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “The Best Workplaces on this list have created cultures where its youngest employees experience not only an environment where they can grow professionally and personally, but also find a deeper sense of purpose in their work. As we prepare for a large influx of young professionals from Generation Z to enter the work force for the first time, these organizations have distinguished themselves as the leaders in attracting and developing the leaders of tomorrow.”
This is just one of the latest top workplace accolades Asurion has received this year. Asurion also received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for a second consecutive year, and has been certified A Great Place to Work® for the last three consecutive years. We were also named to Insider Pro and Computerworld 2020 Best Places to Work in IT for three consecutive years, were named a Top Workplace in the Nashville area for the past six years.
