Asurion, the global leader in connected life services, today announced that it was recognized by InformationWeek for excellence in DevOps at this year’s InformationWeek IT Excellence Awards.
“We are honored to be recognized in the DevOps category,” said Daniel Curling, Asurion vice president of Technology. “This accomplishment is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of every member of the Asurion team as well as a testament to our laser focus on excellence in serving our customers.”
Asurion’s inaugural project – a next-generation upgrade of the company’s internal customer engagement platform called Soluto Connect – helped Asurion tech experts more efficiently access customer and device information, thus providing faster technical support and technical problem resolution for the company’s clients’ customers. The resulting upgrades also delivered $2.2 million in immediate savings and more than $27 million in annual cost reductions.
“We are proud to recognize companies with the IT Excellence Awards. These companies represent some of the most innovative projects going on in IT today,” said Susan Fogarty, InformationWeek Director of Content. “With this year’s awards program, we’re building on InformationWeek’s rich history of recognizing leaders in technology, but also leveling the playing field by expanding our reach and accessibility to organizations of all sizes. We’re excited share their stories with our audience.”
The recognition took place at the InformationWeek IT Leadership Summit at Interop ITX which was held May 16, 2017. Applications were accepted from U.S.-based companies, government agencies, and higher education institutions of all sizes.
