At Asurion, one core value we live by is, “We are One Team.” Not only does this apply to our daily work and interactions, but it goes beyond our desks and into the communities we work in.
Our employees are involved in a number of organizations, with which they are passionate about. One organization Asurion has chosen to support is Teach For America (TFA). Through our “Compassion Forward in the Classroom” program, Nashville-based Asurion employees are connected to TFA classrooms in Middle Tennessee in need of support. Our employee volunteers spend about 1 hour each month in a classroom, reading to students and giving one-on-one attention to advance their skills.
During the 2013-2014 school year, our employee volunteers devoted over 900 hours across seven classrooms, and students in Asurion-supported classrooms showed an average of 1.6 years’ reading-growth improvement. Because of these successes, Asurion was honored with the Corporate Volunteerism Award from Hands On Nashville in 2015.
This year, we were proud to return as an Anniversary Sponsor.
